I wrote an article about AI being a helpful and a harmful tool for authors, and at the end of the day, it came down to the question of how AI is used, whether for good, or for bad. I think a real audiobook narrator is the vastly superior option. But I do like your suggestions here - especially the idea of listening to the virtual narrator with different accents to get an idea of which you would prefer your actual narrator to do for your characters. The kids argued constantly and called one another horrible names. I observed that my parents would never have allowed my sister and me to talk to one another like that. My sister and I have remained friends. I don’t recall that those four ever resolved their differences. I used to ask my own kids, “Can you think of a better way to say that?” when they popped off at one another or even at me. If they couldn’t, I made suggestions. Some things I do for about 10-20 minutes: stretches, make a telephone call, read a short story or article (!), fill pill box (Mondays), walk around the house for ten minutes, fingers and toes care. wipe down kitchen and bathroom counters.
